Creator of concepts!
It says everything and nothing at the same time! But it is indeed Alan Charles.
His talent for drawing was noticed at a young age, but it was music that really attracted him to a more sustained creation and a larger circulation of his works.
He made his first compositions on guitar, while a member of the hard rock band Revid, when he was only 14 years old. He then sat at the family piano to compose his first "concept" project The Führer's War & Peace Project, a quite bizarre name as was this project released on cassette and sold to very few people. It is for this group - finally just as bizarrely named The Führer's Project - that he will write his flagship work, Existence.
The concept will become a group (with new musicians) that will perform live between 1992 and 2002. Four albums will be released: Fragile Whisperings of Innocence (the first act of the Existence project, launched in 1994), Small People, Short Story, Little Crime (1999), Live in Montreal (2014) and Origins (2017) which, as its name suggests, revisits the original concept project by bringing together the two acts, including Silent Screams in Violence, never released on CD before.
Alan also wrote the musical drama Eletria, based on an account given to him by an Existence admirer in 2002. The album was released in 2007, shows followed until 2009 and he wrote the book Eletria which was published in 2011.
In 2019, Alan began composing a new concept project called Lust & Passion / Lost in Passion. This album will be released in 2023.
